Feeney’s Aggressive Strategy for the Adelaide Championship: Will He Go All Out?

Hold onto your helmets, folks, because Broc Feeney is ditching the rulebook! After a fiery Saturday race in Adelaide, he’s ready to go all-in for championship glory. It seems like playing nice is officially off the table.

Feeney found himself outmaneuvered by Aaron Cameron around the Senna Chicane, which led him to rethink his strategy for the final showdown. “He was pretty much at my rear bar when I braked into Turn 1 and I sort of just made the corner, still launched over the kerb, and just got passed by a motorbike on the outside,” Feeney explained.

“He was obviously having a crack, first front-row start in Supercars he is obviously going to race me pretty hard, but it would be good to understand if that’s the case (on Sunday) I’ll just hold it flat out through Turn 1 and completely miss the corner.”

But here’s where it gets controversial… Feeney isn’t running to the officials for clarification. Instead, he’s taking a page from the playbook of aggressive racing. “I’m probably trying to play by the rules too much maybe, like still trying to make the corner a little bit,” he admitted. He’s accepted the precedent and is adjusting his approach accordingly.

This isn’t just about one race; it’s about the championship. Feeney currently leads title rival Chaz Mostert by 23 points, with a massive 125 points up for grabs in the final race.

Sunday qualifying in Adelaide begins at 10 AM local time (10:30 AM AEDT).

What do you think? Is Feeney right to adapt to the aggressive style of racing, or should he stick to the rules? Let’s discuss in the comments!
